School governors play a vital role in the life of the school and are responsible for the work of the school. They meet together as a full Governing Body once each term (twice in the autumn term) and also hold committee meetings which focus on specific areas of school life such as finance, premises, curriculum, staffing etc.

The governors make regular visits to school to meet the children and talk with the teachers about the work of the school. All governors hold their office for a period of four years.
