Our online safety e-cadets have been hard at work over the past few months making a whole school survey to find out how children feel about e-safety and they are now beginning to deliver their first e-safety presentations to their classes! Ask your child what they have learned from their e-cadets over the next few weeks.

We will be marking Stephen Lawrence Day on Friday 29th April 2022, it is a cross MAT event and more importantly it is a national event too!

It will be a great opportunity for our children to participate in discussions, art work, poem/ song writing or any other creative way to educate themselves about race equity and anti- racism.

We are wearing orange this Friday as orange was Stephen's favourite colour 🧡; this could be the whole outfit or an item of clothing. Please don't buy anything new and there is no donation either.

Yesterday (Tuesday 26th April) our Stephen Lawrence Ambassadors had a virtual session with Natasha Boyce (Community Leader from The Winstanley School).

The children made us very proud as they articulated so maturely and displayed our character muscles fully!

We can't wait to see the children's creativeness 🧡

💙Ukraine Charity Day – Friday 8th April 2022 💛

Please don't forget that we will be showing our support for Ukraine tomorrow with a non uniform day to raise money for the Ukrainian appeal.
We would like to suggest a donation of £1 for the children to wear blue and yellow clothing, for example blue jeans, yellow footwear or even a Leicester City Football top!

💛 Please visit the School Gateway if you would like to make a donation to the Ukrainian appeal 💙

World Maths Day - 2022 1️⃣2️⃣3️⃣4️⃣

The students and staff looked fabulous in their creative 'maths costumes'.
The global maths event was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Kingsway where children linked maths with religious education, art, physical education and they took part in investigation and problem solving throughout the day!

Big shout out to all the parents and carers who could make it for this special day!

On Red Nose Day we raised £151.20 towards Comic Relief, thank you so much!! The children looked amazing in their red outfits and costumes, they really seemed to enjoy the whole day of activities.

The design an Easter egg competition went down a treat also 🥳
The winners won an official red nose day drink bottle and the runners up received an Easter egg!

Last week EYFS got to go on a trip to Brooksby Campus for a lambing visit 🐑

They got the opportunity to experience lambing alongside the experienced guides, where the wonders of farming and education were rolled into one.
All of the children enjoyed the tour and delights of the newly born lambs and pregnant ewes, and behaved so well while listening and interacting with the informative talks.

In addition there were pigs (and piglets) and cattle (and calves) for the children to see and a walk in the fields to see where badgers, foxes and rabbits live.

EYFS could not stop talking about their visit and the sights they had seen when they arrived back at school!
